Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari has expressed worry over the current cost of living and an increase in food prices and other amenities in Nigeria.
In a statement released by the Assistant to the President on Media, Malam Garba Shehu, Buhari said his administration was worried about rising in item costs at the time when the Coronavirus had additionally thrown the nation’s economy into a spiral.
The president said that in spite of the fact that the issue is worldwide, his administration is finding a way possible to address it.
The statement said the president has requested the release of almost 30,000 tons of maize to animal feed companies to ease costs. He said the situation will come and go.
