The Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Fintiri, has commissioned an electrification project, and flaggoff the construction of 5.1km township road in Michika, Michika Local Government Area of the state.
This is part of the rural electrification and roads goals by the state governor, the project, which intends to connects rural areas in the state to the national grid and create good rural roads network.
Michika local government has been cut off from the national grid by the Boko Haram Insurgents since 2014. And the awarded township roads construction was abandoned since 2007.
Fintiri has assured residents that the local government would witness a better turn around during his administration.
He said despite the scarce resources, the government would make sure that every niche and inlet of the state was provided with the needed development to uplift the standard of living of the people.
The governor made the remarks while flagging off the construction of township roads in Michika metropilice, Adamawa State.
