Barcelona football star Lionel Messi has revealed that he will end his career at the club, as it is not possible for any club to meet Barcelona’s demand for his release to play in another club.
Lionel Messi, the club’s all-time leading goalscorer, says he will be patient to stay in Barcelona as he does not want to take the club he wants to court.
The Argentine player sent a message to Barcelona on Tuesday stating that he wanted to change his contract and that he could leave the club without paying a fee.
However, the club has stated that any club interested will have to pay $700 million if Messi is to leave the club.
Lionel Messi’s father, who is also his agent, has previously told La Liga that $700m (£ 624m) should not be paid before the Barcelona star leaves the club.
The 33-year-old told the club last week that he wanted to move on after 20 years with the club and believed he would leave the club without paying.
