Buhari had a brisk relationship with the 8th Senate under the leadership of the recent past leader, Bukola Saraki.

Regardless, Lawan while speaking with Daily Trust said: “Do you know that the senate have disagreed with Mr. President, the executive arm of
government, on many times?

“But people don’t know, because what we have embraced is going behind the scenes and solve our issues.”

The Senate President also maintained that under his leadership the Senate has experienced better legislation and service delivery to Nigerians.

He added: “I, however, witnessed better service delivery to the
people when there were a coalition and mutual respect among the two
arms.

“I will be unfair to my humble self, to the masses and to the
senators who elected me to give out the best and choose right to just fight
in the name of independence of the Nigeria legislature.”
